Catalyst

FAQ

How are markets checked?

Markets will be automatically checked by the Catalyst team to clearly state the terms of the market.

How does a market get decided?

Markets will be checked by the Catalyst team at close to verify which side of the market wins, and payouts are then claimable in one hour.

Disputes can be opened in that one hour. Each market is eligible for one dispute, unless the market was clearly won by either side, in which case the dispute will be closed and payouts will be sent immediately.

Are arbitrage markets allowed?

Arbitrage markets are NOT permitted on Catalyst. Duplicate markets of the same catalyst will be deleted, and refunded at market price.

For example, if more than one market for "Trump will say hello by 4 p.m. PST 12/1/26" is opened, only the first market will stay tradeable, while others will be closed.

What if two markets open at the same time?

Markets show their opening time. If two markets are opened at the exact same time (down to the second, or in some cases within a few seconds), the market with more volume will stay up, while the others will be closed at market price.

What does "OG ✔️" mean?

Markets that are clearly first in their respective criteria will be marked with "OG ✔️". This mark can be rarely inaccurate, so please ensure the timing of each market's open.

What are the fees?

At close, a 1% fee is taken from the winning side of a market. Those on the losing side pay nothing.

Can the rules change?

Rules are subject to change at Catalyst's discretion to ensure fairness.
